AFC Adam – Getting Lucky

Ok We are all aware of the phrase, “Getting lucky”… well; Luck = Preparation Meeting Opportunity.

Well last night I made a decision that made me realise just how much that statement shouldn’t apply to us.

The phrase getting lucky implies that we have no control over the results… or little control at least. So the essence of game should remove this, right?

I’d like to take a look at the actual importance of an opening; the question being: is it the most important part of pick up or is the least?

I believe the latter statement is correct, but I also accept that in some situations the “opener” can be more of a major factor than in other circumstances and situations.

However, I stick by my opinion that it is never beneficial when you are putting too much energy and emphasis into a fix planned routine, or getting hung up too much on that killer opener. Read more

For those of you who have been in the game for a while now, you will probably have developed your own style of play.

Whether you are following one of the more mainstream methods, or have developed your own sense of game the fact is typically we have a sense of sameness to our approach.

I will be the first to admit that I don’t know much about Kezia from PUAtraining.com. Apparently she has been one of their top instructors for a bit now….Thing is, I tend to observe that even the most well intentioned woman gives bad advice. She may think that she is giving something useful, but 9 times out of 10 it’s utter rubbish.

For years I have had conversations with girls where they ask me why this double standard appears in society. They want to know why guys can sleep around and boast about it, but if women do the same they are looked down upon. I used to have various wishy washy explanations which were never the final word in the discussion. Recently however, I came up with what I believe to be the definitive answer.

If i’m sitting around with a beautiful girl and we get competitive and suggests that we see who can get the most dates in 30 minutes, she might think it’s a fair fight, but it really isn’t. AFC Adam – Premature Eject-ulation

The question to ask yourself is… Are you a victim of Premature Ejectulation?

What I am reffering to is leaving a set prematurely because you “feel” you have been blown out.

I have witnessed a wide range of students now some of them pretty well known amongst the community who will quite happily open a set, get them hooked, and run a decent number of routines generating a great deal of IOI’s and then eject, actually saying goodbye.

A key point here is that this should not be confused with capture – recapture. Wherebye you leave the set on a high note at the begining of the night, with a time bridge stating you will probably see them around later on, and maybe they owe you a dance/drink whatever.
