David Wygant – Playing The Odds

July 26, 2009 by · Comments Off

David WygantI woke up this morning to another sunny day in Southern California, and I realized that everywhere in the world except Los Angeles you have to play the percentages. On the East Coast, it may rain or be really nice, and you have to embrace both the sunny days and the wet days.

It’s really no different in meeting the opposite sex and in relationships. Life is about playing the percentages. Read more

David Wygant – Summertime Memories

July 9, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

David WygantMy birthday is in the summertime, and I always seem to get very nostalgic around the time of my birthday. It’s interesting how the summers just don’t have the same meaning they used to have.

I live in Los Angeles, so the weather is definitely a factor. There is no anticipation of the summer here. It’s funny when I hear people here in Los Angeles say things like “It’s finally summer!” What was it before, about ten degrees cooler than that? That mentality is just so ridiculous to me. Read more

June 18, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

David WygantToday’s podcast is going to be really interesting, but also really short, because I want to be sure to get this message across to you guys. I’m not going to tell you exactly what it is here cause I want to be sure you will listen to it.

Before I go into today’s blog, though, a little update for you. Within the last week I went to get a second opinion about my back, and based upon that I am not going to have surgery.

According to this doctor, who is one of the top doctors in Los Angeles, my body can heal itself. Apparently what I have is really not that serious. The doctor says that the herniated disc and the fragments that are attached to it can heal themselves.

Our bodies can work miraculous recoveries. The doctor actually told me that I am crazy to undergo surgery when I can heal without it. So, now I am in the process of healing myself. Read more

David Wygant – Stop Being A Walking Penis

June 12, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

David WygantToday’s podcast is all about speaking from your heart and communicating from your heart. This is something that really sunk in with me the other day during a conversation with my girlfriend. I really became conscious of the important difference between speaking from your head and speaking from your heart.

I was really irritated about something — I don’t know if it was something having to do with her or something else, but I was frustrated. As I was talking to her, she says to me “You’re so in your head. Speak from your heart.” So I took a deep breath and thought about it, and I realized that I was speaking from frustration (and from my head). Read more

David Wygant – Become A 7/11

May 15, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

David WygantI don’t know if any of you wake up cheery, but I have a rule with everyone who works with me that there are no phone calls before noon. I like to slowly wake up in the morning . . . whatever time that may be.

I mean, my girlfriend and I hardly talk to each other in the morning. In the morning, I go for a walk and make breakfast while she goes and gets herself ready. We rarely even speak before 11:00 a.m.

Right now, though, I have houseguests. Yes, my girlfriend’s mother and her aunt are staying with us and they like to start talking to me first thing thing in the morning. So I have developed a routine. I’m friendly and I smile, but then I go down to the beach and answer emails on my BlackBerry for an hour. Read more
