Recommended Experts
I think it is important that every guy learn only one method to start. Master that one, then you can add other methods or fill in your sticking points with stuff from other gurus. One of my favorite gurus, Brad P, told me at a recent pickup summit that he guaranteed he has read far less on the subject than anyone else in the room. Reason being, if you study way too much it is extremely difficult to be fully present and in the moment as you interact with women. When you become completely out of your head and present that is when you can just flow and be ‘natural’. That being said, here is a list of my favorites:
1) Venusian Arts: Mystery practically invented the modern pickup arts. He and his crew, Lovedrop and Matador, have developed to the best of my knowledge the most complete method available that works particularly well at nightclubs and parties. There is a reason why Mystery and his crew of all great PUAs has his own show on VH1: They absolutely guy get it and have a lot of charisma. The Venusian Arts Revelation as a great start to learning how to truly meet and attract women.
2) Mehow: Mehow is one of the greatest rising stars in “the community” of Pick Up Artists. His book “Get The Girl” is one of my favorite books, but it has some limitations… It is really only useful for night game. I would argue, however, that it is the definitive guide to nightclub/party game. it is pure dynamite… No DHV stories are necessary when she probably can’t hear you anyway–PureKino is the way to go here! Don’t forget to also check out his infield videos, Infield Exposed, for the highest quality infield videos available; as well as Mehow’s new Group Attraction Manifesto (”Why attract one girl, when you can attract them all?”).
3) Real Social Dynamics: Do not allow what “The Game” had to say about Tyler Durden to affect your opinion of him and the guys at RSD. I don’t think any one else ‘gets it’ on as deep a level as TD does. This guy understands everything inside and out…not to mention the fact that he created a majority of the routines out there in common use and then threw them all away for a more natural vibe. I don’t recommend starting out with his stuff because it is extremely dense material…but as you master the art of seduction, Tyler Durden will be the perfect guru to take it to the next level. If you like the direction they are headed (like I do!), I recommend attending a bootcamp with any of the fine instructors in the RSD staff. Also, I think Real Social Dynamics has the best free newsletter bar none right now.
4) Brad P: A recent addition to the community of Pick Up Artists is Brad P. He learned all his skills almost completely outside of “the community”. I think this gives him a unique perspective on pickup. This guy is not for the faint of heart…he is very ballsy in his approach. I personally love his “Shocker” openers, but they may not work for everyone. His “Underground Dating Seminar” CD set is 12 discs of pure gold that gives you EVERYTHING you need from before opening a set [inner game], to actually opening a set and all the way to forming fulfilling relationships. Brad P has been extremely prolific, covering topics from fashion, to club game, to planning the perfect date.
5) Pickup101: Leading up the PU101 crew is one of my personal favorites, Lance Mason. He has a way of really simplifying a lot of the important concepts such as body language and Kino. His Charismatic Conversations DVD set is one of the best programs out there for truly simplifying things and showing just how much fun pickup can be. They also have one of the best bootcamps available for fine-tuning those crucial first minutes of any sarge. Book an Art of Attraction Bootcamp and I guarantee you will open flawlessly everytime!
6) David DeAngelo: I really think anyone can learn from the classic book written by none other than David DeAngelo: Double Your Dating. There is a reason why this book has probably sold more than any other book on the planet: It simply rocks! In it you will learn all the what causes attraction from cocky/funny to the evolution of desire…this book has it all! If you read nothing else about the Pick Up Arts, at least read this one!
7) Vin DiCarlo: Vin DiCarlo is the guy who created Structured Natural Game, spurring other gurus to really start to explore the realm of “natural game”. But I don’t think anyone has really done as concise and thorough a job as DiCarlo. His Book, The Attraction Code, is hands-down the most brilliant opus on learning to become natural at picking up girls. One read and you will realize just how easy it truly is to naturally meet and attract women into your life.
8 ) David Wygant: This guy has been teaching both men and women how to create the lifestyle that automatically brings women into your life for over 10 years, but I just barely became acquainted with the guy. I think I could have saved years learning pick up if I would have known about this guy early in my development. His Men’s Mastery Series is so complete that you may never need anything but this product to have the lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of having with women.
9) Love Systems: When Mystery split from The Mystery Method, I thought this company was doomed, but I was delightfully surprised how they continued to create even better material than they had previously done. Love Systems’ instructors are quite possibly the best in the biz and you can never go wrong booking a bootcamp with any of them, especially their new, highly specialized bootcamps on Day Game and Social Circle Game. For anyone wanting to learn a complete method for meeting and attracting women, the ironically titled Magic Bullets book will give you everything from opening to closing the girl. The recently created Routines Manual is quite possibly the best compilation of Pick Up routines in existence for those looking for material to add to your stack.
10) Style: No list would be complete without including Style (aka Neil Strauss). I’ve never been able to really use any of his routines or material personally, but a lot of guys wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Style. He also boasts the largest online program in the world for learning Pick Up: The Style Life Academy. I can also safely assume every guy here has either read or at least heard of “The Game”. His follow-up book “The Rules of the Game” is worth the read because it gives a complete 30-day program to success with women and more adventures that were not included in “The Game”.
11) Juggler (Charisma Arts): I like Juggler’s (aka Wayne Elise) warm vibing approach. His method is very well suited for most day game approaches but is versatile and can often be used in night approaches as your skills progress. It is based on recognizing escalation points, and then doing just that: Escalating! His books “The Juggler Archive” and “How to Meet and Connect with Women” are a great start.
12) Ross Jeffries (Speed Seduction): What can I say? My first exposure to “the Community” was through Ross Jeffries almost 10 years ago now…and I still use the stuff to this very day! I do think the learning curve on NLP-based Speed Seduction is a bit steep and is not completely necessary, but I will say this: Using it really will lead to lightning fast F-closes! Not to mention that NLP can often be used to strengthen your inner game. If you want to learn this style of game (and why wouldn’t you!?), start out with the Basic Home Study Course, and with a lot of practice you too can do 10-minute lays!
13) Swinggcat: I think my style of pickup is most similar to Swinggcat’s style. He really set the bar for Push/Pull seduction and Frame Control, and although I don’t think he has put together a complete “linear” method….”Real World Seduction” will definitely supplement whatever style you are currently using. There is more Swinggcat material inter-weaved into my game than probably any other expert’s material.
14) Carlos Xuma: There is probably no expert more prolific right now than Carlos Xuma. He has put out more products recently than I could name in this short blurb. Although he often presents a lot of rehashed material, he presents it in such a way that is practical, step-by-step, and straightforward to implement. I particularly enjoyed the Alpha Lifestyle DVDs and CX’s more recent Approach Women NOW 2 - Real Alpha Day Game (there is so little good day game information out there and he not only gives his own insight but brings the insight of 18 of the most respected Pick Up Experts out there such as Mehow, Zan, Savoy, Lance Mason, David Wygant, and others).
15) Paul Janka: I just recently discovered Paul Janka and have been thrilled to have done so. Paul Janka is another one of those rare finds that learned their game completely outside the community and specializes in day game. His book, The Attraction Formula, is a no bull-shit guide to meeting and attracting women in everyday situations. If you are looking to improve your day game (and who isn’t!?), this is a must-read!
